Hey, there!

I'm Flora, an early childhood teacher and director turned professional development trainer and consultant. The most important thing you need to know about me is that I love young children, I’m passionate about supporting their teachers, and I want to equip and empower program leaders to provide high-quality care and education for our early learners. I'm the founder of Teach for Teachers, Inc. and I want to personally welcome you to this community!

I started Teach for Teachers, Inc. in 2014 while working as a director of an early childhood program. I got tired of spending money, time, and resources to send my staff to training only for them to return to the center with skills that didn’t fit our program philosophy, or no real skills at all! So I began to develop the trainings that I knew we needed and would meet the requirements of our many program funders such as Head Start and the state board of education…the rest is history and I’ve been training ever since.

My personal mission is to help early childhood teachers put the new knowledge and skills they learn in training workshops into practice in their classrooms. You do know that certificate is worth more than the clock hours on the training log, right? You have to put those gems to use! It’s ok if you get stuck, because I can show you how.

But what happens when the workshop doesn't work for your workplace? Well, some of my clients have faced that problem. So I also work with program leaders to design professional development activities that meet the unique needs of their staff. It saves them time and money, and they don't have to worry about the training applying to their program because it was designed specifically for them.

I'm a certified assessor so I'm trained to see things in the early learning environment, interactions, and business practices that most don't even know are "a thing" and I suggest real solutions. But most importantly, I've been a classroom teacher, I was a director, and I trained my own staff… so I’ve been there and can help you do that!

Just in case you’re wondering how I’m qualified to do all of this, I’m sharing with you some of my accomplishments below. But I’m a life-longer learner so I’m always up to something new.
